OMSI 2 Gillig LF
  • Recommended Programs to install mods
    • We recommend you get all of these in order to not only install, but properly diagnose problems with your mods.
      • 7zip A free archiving tool used to both package up and extract archiveed files in 7z, rar, zip, and more formats
      • Blue Sky Tool A tool for properly diagnosing the installation status of OMSI 2 map mods. This tool can tell you what files you’re missing from your installs!
      • 4GB Patch use this patching too to expand OMSI 2’s Memory capacity from the 2GB limit to 4GB and Beyond. This helps with all addon maps
  • Tools for creating mods
    • If you want to create mods, this is a good place to start
      • Audacity a good tool for editing audio files
      • DXTBmp A free image editing tool that can be used for extracting usable images to and from converted TGA and DDS files.
      • Notepad++ An alternative to Windows Notepad. It’s more flexible and better suited for coding, which is going to be needed for OMSI modding
      • Paint.net A free image editing tool that can be used for Repaints, textures, and more
    • For more complex 3D modelling, you may also want these
